This was set up at Bangor University and primarily for the students there. At present, the numbers confirmed are not high enough to allow the course to go ahead. I need to confirm numbers in next day or 2, so if there is anyone who would like to, and would be available to, attend the course, could you please let me know accordingly. The course costs £120.00, is over 3 full days and includes the new Rugby Ready safety course. In view of the timescale, it may be easier to contact me by phone on 07733 013060.

Thanks

Tim

UKCC Level Two Coaching

There will be a UKCC Level Two held on the following dates:-

Rugby Ready ( for those candidates who have not undertaken prior to course ) - Monday 1st December 2008 6.30 – 9.30 venue to be confirmed.
Day 1 - Saturday 6th December 2008
Day 2 - Sunday 7th December 2008

Day 3 - Saturday 17th January 2009
Day 4 - Sunday 18th January 2009

Days 1 to 4 will be 9am till approximately 5pm and will probably be held at Coleg Llandrillo, Colwyn Bay. Players should arrive 11.15am for 11.30am prompt start. This first session will be approx 3 hrs long. We are particularly interested in players with dob's of 1990 & '91.Whilst this is a fully open session for all qualifying age-group players we would ask that you do not encourage all players attend as that will result in avoidable disappointment for some and considerable time spent in simple fitness/skill analysis which we would prefer not to have to plan into the session. By all means encourage all players you feel have or are showing signs of the requisite skills, commitment and not least attitude, to present themselves for appraisal. With the NW u16's and u18's now receiving direct funding from the WRU in the south it is our duty to provide the same opportunity at u20 level to ensure we bring the skill levels to an acceptable point where we can supply quality "Gog's" to the forthcoming semi-pro NW senior side rather than "imports" or mediocre players. Every district game these two squads now play is watched directly by national squad selectors et al. We should not deny our u20's the same opportunity. Once we have a quality senior side you/your club will reap the benefits from the increased exposure the sport will receive. So your ongoing support in encouraging your "cream" to come to us would be greatly appreciated and, in the long term pay you dividends. It is a short sighted club/coach that does not encourage their players to covet this opportunity.Past performance or attendance is NOT a guarantee of entry to the new u20s! Quality, attitude and commitment are the only criteria. We do not care where the player comes from, just where he is going to go! We already have some quality enquiries to test the boys.If you do intend to recommend anyone then please, if possible, let me have their details well ahead of schedule:Name DOB 1st choice position 2nd choice position Contact number & email If there are any players not available on the 14th due to injury or other, prearranged commitments, which you think should be with us please advise us of their details or have them contact me directly. Please find my contact details for your files.T: 01978 750750F: 01978 720022M: 00447875534807E: neil_nwru@sewing.co.ukIf you are aware of any Youth coaches or key contacts in any clubs that should receive this email please forward it to them.
